The rule, in their own terms
- During the evaluation
- On Instant Funding (Hyper-Growth) and Bootcamp, news trading is allowed, with bracket strategies around news excluded.
- Once funded
- On High Stakes, executing an order from 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after high-impact news is prohibited.
- The window
- 2 minutes either side, measured on their server time.
- What it costs you
- Profit made in that window is deducted and does not count towards the target. A loss in the same window stays yours.
- Which calendar counts
- They refer to Forex Factory and follow server time.

What trips people up
- The rule applies to the moment an order is triggered and executed, not to the moment a pending order was placed.
- Profit deducted and loss absorbed is the least forgiving combination on this page, so on High Stakes the honest answer is to be flat.
Knowing the window is not the hard part
Knowing which release lands on which currency, and when, is. A rule about five minutes only helps if you saw the event coming that morning.
