Allowed on Hyper-Growth and Bootcamp, except bracket strategies around news. On High Stakes, no new positions within two minutes either side. This is what their own help page says, read on 9 October 2026, with what it means in practice underneath.

The rule, in their own terms
- During the evaluation
- On Instant Funding (Hyper-Growth) and Bootcamp, news trading is allowed, with bracket strategies around news excluded.
- Once funded
- On High Stakes, opening a position from 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after high-impact news on the related currency or index is prohibited. Their page does not limit this to the funded stage.
- The window
- 2 minutes either side, measured on their server time.
- What it costs you
- A soft breach: profit made in that window is deducted and does not count towards the target. A loss in the same window stays yours.
- Which calendar counts
- They publish no list of their own and refer to the high-impact (red folder) events on Forex Factory, on their server time.

What trips people up
- On High Stakes the rule is about opening new positions, entry pending orders included: any pending order that triggers inside the window is treated as a news trading violation. Their page does not say whether a stop loss or take profit that fills inside the window counts.
- Profit deducted and loss absorbed is the least forgiving combination on this page, so on High Stakes the honest answer is to be flat.
Knowing the window is not the hard part
Knowing which release lands on which currency, and when, is. A rule about five minutes only helps if you saw the event coming that morning.
