The research

Is MacroSetup financial advice?

No. MacroSetup publishes general market research, and everyone sees the same analysis. It does not know your situation and does not tell you what to buy or sell. Trading currencies on margin carries a high risk of losing money. Read the risk disclosure

Is MacroSetup a signal service?

No. Setups show where the macro gap between two currencies is widest this week. There are no entry prices, stops or targets. Timing and risk management are up to you.

How is MacroSetup different from a currency strength meter?

A strength meter measures how currencies have already moved. MacroSetup scores what drives them: central bank policy, economic data, risk sentiment and geopolitics. Every score comes with the reasons behind it, and recent price strength counts for only 5 of the 100 points.

How is a currency score calculated?

Four pillars add up to a score from 0 to 100: risk sentiment (up to 40 points), fundamentals (35), geopolitics (20) and price strength this week (5). The exact scoring rules stay in-house, but every score comes with the reasons and sources behind it. Read the methodology

Which markets does MacroSetup cover?

MacroSetup focuses on forex: the eight major currencies (USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, CHF, AUD, NZD and CAD) and the 28 currency pairs between them. See the markets covered

How often is the research updated?

The research is checked every hour on trading days, and updated as soon as new data or news, such as a central bank decision, changes the picture. Every Monday morning starts with a full outlook for the trading week.

Do I need to understand macroeconomics?

No. Every score comes with a short plain-English explanation, and the methodology page explains how to read scores, pairs and setups.

How is the track record measured?

Every trading day, the top 3 setups of that day are checked on price: from the opening of the London session after they were published to the next opening. A setup counts as right when the pair moved in its direction. Every day is shown, the misses included, and past results do not predict future ones. How the track record works

Does MacroSetup help with prop-firm challenges?

The research is the same for every trader. High-impact news is flagged a day ahead, which helps if your prop firm limits trading around news releases, and the risk calculator works with the rules of your own challenge.

Trial and pricing

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account gets every feature free for 14 days. No card is needed to start. After that it is $49 per month, and you only pay once you choose a plan.

What does MacroSetup cost?

One plan with every feature: $49 per month, or $588 per year. Prices are in US dollars. See pricing

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. If you do not choose a plan when your 14-day trial ends, it simply stops and you pay nothing. After that you can cancel whenever you like, and your access runs until the end of the period you paid for.

Do you give refunds?

Within 14 days of choosing a paid plan you may withdraw, and get back what you paid minus the days you had access. After that, a period that has started is not refunded and you keep access until it ends. And before any of this come the 14 free days, to decide before you pay anything. Read the cancellation and refund policy

Are there discount codes?

Sometimes. A running offer shows at the top of the site, and partners may share a code of their own. A code you claim is taken off the price of the plan you choose.

Your account

Can I use MacroSetup on my phone?

Yes. MacroSetup runs in the browser on your phone, tablet and computer, with nothing to install. Your license covers your own devices.

How do I sign in?

There is no password to remember: you sign in with your Google account.

Can I share my account?

No. Each subscription is a personal license for one person. You can use it on your computer and your phone, and we record which devices sign in, so a shared account stands out.

What happens to my data?

Your email address is used for your account and for signing in. Payments are handled by a payment provider, so MacroSetup never sees your full card details. Your data is never sold. Read the privacy policy
