Terms of service
The agreement between you and MacroSetup, in plain language. Mandatory consumer law always comes first.

Who we are
MacroSetup is operated by [company name], [street and number], [postcode and city], the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KvK number], VAT number [VAT number]. You can reach us at [support email]. All our details are on the company details page.
These terms apply when you use macrosetup.com and everything behind the login. By making an account you agree to them.
What MacroSetup is
MacroSetup is a research product. It scores the eight major currencies on the same building blocks every day, shows which pairs stand out, and explains the reasoning behind each score. It also offers tools for your own use, such as the risk calculator and the account tracker.
Everyone with a subscription sees exactly the same analysis at the same time. Nothing is tailored to you, your account size or your situation.
What MacroSetup is not
We are not an investment firm, a broker or an adviser, and we are not supervised by the AFM. Nothing on this site is investment advice or a personal recommendation.
We do not manage money, we do not take orders, and we do not tell you what to buy or sell. What you do with the research is your decision and your responsibility.
We give no guarantee about results. Past performance of the model, including anything in the track record, is not a reliable indicator of future results. Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Only risk money you can afford to lose. See the risk disclosure.
We do not answer questions about your own trades, positions or account. If you ask, we will point you back to this section.
Your account
An account is for one person. It is a personal license, not something you can share, lend, sell or pass on.
You can use your account on up to two devices, so your computer and your phone both work. We record which devices sign in, so we can tell an account being shared from an account being used normally.
If we see signs that an account is shared, for example sign-ins from two countries within the same hour or use on more devices than allowed, we may ask you to confirm it is you, and we may pause the account while we do. A person looks at it before we end anything. If sharing is clear, we may end the subscription without a refund.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [support email] as soon as you think someone else has access.
The free trial
New accounts get 14 days free, with every feature. No card is needed and nothing is charged. When the trial ends, it simply stops: nothing turns into a paid plan unless you choose one yourself.
Plans and price
There is one plan with every feature, paid by the month ($49 a month) or by the year ($588 a year). Prices and payments are in US dollars; your bank may convert the amount to your own currency. Prices [include / exclude] VAT where it applies.
You see the full price and what it covers before you pay, and the button you press says that it commits you to pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
A discount code takes off what it says, on the plan and for the period it says. One code per account, it cannot be exchanged for money, and it ends on the date shown with it.
If we change the price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Renewal and cancelling
A monthly plan renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the subscription page in the app, in no more than two clicks, the same way you signed up. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
A yearly plan runs for a year. After that it does not renew for another full year: it continues from month to month at the monthly price, and you can cancel it at any time with at most one month to go.
Apart from the right of withdrawal below, a period that has started is not refunded. The cancellation and refund policy has the details.
Your right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of choosing it, without giving a reason. You do so with the withdrawal function in the app, or by emailing [support email], for example with the model form in the refund policy.
When you choose a plan, you ask us to give you access right away, within those 14 days. If you then withdraw, we refund what you paid minus a fair share for the days you had access, within 14 days of your message, in the way you paid.
The free trial comes before any of this: you can try everything before any money changes hands.
What you may do with what you see
Use it for your own trading and your own research, as much as you like.
What you may not do: republish it, resell it, share it in paid or free groups, post screenshots of the data, feed it into another product or model, or scrape the site in bulk. The pages you see may carry a mark that ties them to your account.
If you want to quote a number in a public post or a video, that is fine as long as you say it came from MacroSetup and you do not reproduce the tables or the setups themselves. Ask us if you want to do something bigger; we are usually happy to say yes.
Your own data in the app
What you put in the account tracker, the risk calculator or a support message is yours. Only you can see your accounts, trades and screenshots. We do not use them for the research or for anything else, and you can delete them at any time. Do not upload anything you have no right to share.
Partners and invites
Partners who bring in customers take part under the separate partner terms. When you sign up through a partner's link, that partner may earn a fee from us once you pay. It does not change your price or your terms.
The method stays ours
We are open about the what: the building blocks, the rough weights, how to read the labels, the sources behind each score, and how the model has actually performed.
We are not open about the how: the exact bands, formulas, thresholds, the instructions behind the daily runs and the code. That stays ours, together with the site, the texts and everything else we made.
When things break
We do our best to keep the site up and the data fresh, but we do not promise it is always available or always correct. Sources can be late, wrong or unreachable, and a run can fail.
We may change, add or remove parts of the product. If something you rely on disappears, and that matters enough that you no longer want the subscription, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.
Liability
We are not liable for trading losses, missed gains or decisions you made after reading our research. That is the whole point of the section about what MacroSetup is not.
Where we are liable for something else, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything the law does not allow us to limit. Your rights under mandatory consumer law stay as they are.
Ending it
You can cancel whenever you want, as described above.
We can end or pause your account if you break these terms, in particular by sharing or reselling the research. In that case we do not refund the running period.
We can also stop offering the product altogether. If we do, we will tell you and refund the unused part of what you paid.
Complaints
Not happy with something? Tell us at [support email] or from the Support page in the app, with what happened and what you would like us to do. We confirm we received it and answer within [number] days.
Changes to these terms
If we change something that matters, we email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using the product after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can cancel before they take effect.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. That does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live. Disputes go to the court in [court], unless the law says a consumer may go to their own court.
Before that, please write to us. Almost everything is easier to fix that way.
See also the privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data.
