MacroSetup uses no cross-site tracking and no advertising cookies. Visits are counted without cookies and without anything that follows you to another site. This is the complete list of what the site does use.

Cookies
Small files the site puts in your browser. All of them are our own; none come from another company.

Browser storage
A few settings are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in a cookie. They stay on your device until you clear them.

- That you closed the offer bar at the top of the site, so it stays closed.

- Your numbers in the risk calculator. They never leave your browser.

Counting visits
We count how often a page is opened, and a few steps on the way to a plan, such as a click on an upgrade button or a new account, through Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies at all. A visitor is recognised for the rest of the day by a hash of the request, which is thrown away after 24 hours, and nothing is kept that could follow you to another site. Stored with a visit: the page, where you came from, your country, and the kind of device and browser. A step adds its name and one word from a fixed list, such as which button it was.
Before a visit is counted we drop the part after the question mark in the address, because that is where a one-time sign-in code or a partner tag would sit, and we count nothing at all on the sign-in pages; a new account is counted on the first page of the app. There is nothing to switch off here, because there is nothing on your device to remove.
Signing in with Google
When you choose to sign in with Google, you briefly go to Google's own page, where Google's cookies and privacy policy apply. We receive your email address, your name and your profile picture from it.
Your choice
You can remove cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser settings. Without the sign-in cookies you are signed out; everything else keeps working. More about your data is in the privacy policy.
